I love learning. I believe that Socrates got it exactly right when he said, “You Don’t Know What You Don’t Know.” I try to learn something new every day.
I also love to understand the rationale and logic of things, and how our whole world and different ecosystems interconnect. “Everything Connects to Everything Else,” as Leonardo DaVinci said, and I believe it’s important to do my part to improve the world around me. I always try to save the planet by switching off lights, printing as little as possible, recycling, and being conscious about my eco-footprint. For fun, I enjoy building and flying model aircraft.
After studying business administration with a focus on foreign trade and receiving my BA in Business Administration and International Business from Helwan University in Cairo, Egypt, I began my career in the translation and localization industry. During the 18 years before I joined Vocalink Global, I worked in every aspect of the translation and localization industry, including desktop publishing and graphics, project management, client relations, and business development. I put this experience to work for Vocalink Global when I joined in 2013 to lead our translation and localization team as Global Director of Localization Solutions.
Establishing long-term relationships is my favorite way to create value for Vocalink Global’s clients. I love listening to stakeholders’ current and future needs, as well as past experiences, to then build sustainable, agile, long-term solutions for them. I measure my success by how much we’ve helped our clients succeed.
Vocalink Global, for me, is a communications’ facilitator. We help people and brands overcome linguistic, geographical, and disabilities barriers. The solutions and services we provide are from humans to humans, not only to create success for our clients, but to help the people our clients serve to exercise their rights, learn, stay healthy, remain safe, and enjoy their lives. Vocalink Global facilitates the dialogues that connect us all.
